Feedback from RCB graduates: I had always been the kind of parent that thought once I said "no" to something, changing my mind meant I wasn't following through. One of the things I learned at RCB was how important it is to empower my children with the art of negotiation. Once we taught my oldest son how to negotiate (with a proper voice), I was pleasantly surprised when he would, in the heat of an argument, stop and say "Wait, let's negotiate." Even when I didn't have my wits about me to think of it, he knew those words would spark productive dialogue. It has been a year since we took our class and he is still able to come up with creative and acceptable solutions. I am so happy to now be the kind of parent who listens to his ideas and develops this important life long skill. -Joy, mother of 4 and 2 year old boys
I wanted to take a moment to let you both know what an impact the Redirecting Children's Behavior workshop has had on my (and my kids) life. I have two children with Attention Deficit Disorder (10 and 15). Between the ADD, hormones, and life in general the environment in my home had become almost unbearable. My husband and I were constantly screaming at our kids, they were constantly rebelling, and nothing seemed to work. I came to this workshop out of desperation and was not disappointed. The change was immediate once I begin using the techniques taught in the workshop. I now have a much easier time communicating with my kids, and they feel empowered. I have recommended, and will continue to recommend this workshop to others. It's made a major impact on my life. -Belinda, mother of 10 and 15 year olds
